El (La) Rector(a) de la Institución Educativa Rafael Uribe Uribe, debe satisfacer los requisitos de ley para el desempeño de su rol como administrador, tener experiencia docente no inferior a seis (6) años, con un amplio dominio de la legislación educativa y estar actualizado; contar con habilidades para el manejo de grupos, ser equilibrado, ágil, seguro y oportuno en el momento de tomar decisiones.
Además, debe propender por:
- Evidenciar capacidad de liderazgo en la ejecución de los procesos de mejoramiento de la calidad del servicio educativo.
- Ha de ser objetivo en el trato y relación con los docentes, estudiantes, padres de familia, personal administrativo, logístico y demás agentes que estén en relación con la comunidad educativa.
- Este agente de la educación debe tener capacidad para gestionar con otras entidades comunitarias y gubernamentales.
- En él está la garantía para que exista un ambiente de democracia, participación, diálogo, integración y servicio.
- Debe ser tolerante, receptor, con buena escucha, analítico, concertador, respetuoso, sencillo, calmado, prudente y reservado.
- Ha de ser garante de transparencia, honestidad, lealtad y eficacia en el manejo y uso de los recursos financieros de la Institución Educativa con ética profesional.
- Como administrador debe estar comprometido y ser partícipe de las actividades programadas por la Institución Educativa.
- Es un maestro convencido de su labor, crítico, reflexivo, investigador y abierto a los cambios propuestos por el nuevo mundo dentro de la dinámica de la globalización, respetuoso de la cultura contemporánea, reconocedor de los nuevos valores, presto para contribuir al mundo del progreso, con visión prospectiva y dinámica.
